Winnie Harlow reveals everything.
The 28-year-old model showcases her body on the cover. Women’s Health A series of photos taken in the desert describe the beauty of having vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or color.
Harlow was photographed in several different poses, each showcasing the pigmentation of her body. She wore just a pair of silver V-shaped earrings to complete the look and her hair was styled in beachy waves.
Harlow, whose real name is Chantelle Whitney Brown-Young, told PEOPLE in 2021 that there was a time when she doubted whether she could succeed in the modeling industry but persevered to build a career.

“My younger self always believes in the power of faith, strength, and perseverance while learning about vulnerability and learning to truly be myself,” she expanded. Women’s Health. “I got a lot of goodies along the way, but I just pushed.”
“Achieving my goals by watching the world has been scary at times, but ultimately, the ultimate blessing,” he added.
CAY Skin founder told Women’s Health now that she’s in front of the camera, she wants to be an “inspiration” to others with the disease. He remembered a fan who came to him and said that their mother also had vitiligo and was trying to cover her arms in embarrassment.
“They said, ‘My mom has never felt pretty in my life, and then I showed her a picture of you and now she’s wearing short sleeves,'” Harlow told the broadcast. “It’s great that I can help build confidence in people of all backgrounds.”
In addition to inspiring people to be more comfortable in their own skin, she told the publication that she is passionate about sun care and her brand, CAY Skin, after she suffered a sunburn that was so bad that her vitiligo changed during a photo shoot in the Bahamas.
“I was shooting from sunrise to sunset on the beach,” she told the broadcast, adding that she was discouraged from reapplying sunscreen due to her white cast during filming. “Obviously, it’s crazy to shoot on the beach without sunscreen, but I did it to get good shots.”
In addition to focusing on strength training to keep her body strong, Harlow said sunscreen is now a must for her. He stated that he wanted people to define their own beauty as well.
“I want to show the world that beauty is what each of us wants it to be,” Harlow said.
