Bad Fans are one step closer to watching the beloved Broadway musical on the big screen.
Universal Pictures wrapped up its presentation at CinemaCon 2023 on Wednesday with surprise footage from the upcoming movie that featured a first look at Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible.
Rough footage shown at the annual cinema convention — Bad It’s currently filming in a village near East Buckinghamshire in the UK – it also offers a glimpse into the film’s other main characters, including Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
“They were born to play these roles,” Universal president Donna Langley told the audience during the presentation, which featured a first look at the actresses singing together. “They’re amazing and matched by an equally brilliant cast.”
Bad director Jon M. Chu (in the heights) told audiences that the Emerald City, the setting for the movie, provides a “fully immersive experience” as production films without CGI or blue screens.

The next day, a photo emerged of Grande shooting scenes for the upcoming movie in the UK, showing the actress wearing a bright pink dress and a crown on her head, standing on what looks like a gold and pink giant car or throne. during shooting.
Grande was shooting BadAccording to The Daily Mail, citing eyewitnesses, the opening number ‘No One Grieves Evil’ is the moments captured in the photos.
