Taylor Swift and Matty Healy’s love story is over.
“They’re both extremely busy and realized they weren’t really in sync with each other,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight on Monday.
Referring to the “All Too Well” singer’s split from Joe Alwyn in April, they added, “Taylor’s friends want the best for her and are not surprised that their relationship failed as she has recently been out of a long-term relationship.”
Just hours ago, a friend close to the situation told TMZ that Swift is “single” again – just a month after she and the 1975 frontman went public.
While Swift, 33, recently said she’s “never been this happy” amid their budding romance, fans weren’t all that excited about her latest love interest.
Known as the Swifties, many stubborn fans slammed the singer for dating the 34-year-old rocker after her racist remarks about Ice Spice.
In fact, they even launched a #SpeakUpNow campaign encouraging Swift to address her controversial comment history.
The letter read, “Use your platform responsibly and responsibly.” “Advocate inclusion, celebrate diversity, and promote empathy and understanding.”
While Swift has yet to respond to her fans’ request, Healy saw the backlash as nothing more than a signal of virtue.

Grammy winner and Healy first sparked love rumors after the “Somebody Else” singer was spotted on Swift’s Eras Tour in Nashville in early May.
Between shows, the duo was seen spending a lot of time together in New York City, where Swift was recording new music.
The two were also caught “hugging and kissing” at Casa Cipriani, as previously reported by Page Six.
The escape comes just a month after Swift announced she was breaking up with Alwyn, whom she had been dating for six years.
Although sources tell us there was no animosity between the exes at the time, Alwyn reportedly felt “lightened” and “distraught” for acting so quickly.
But Swift’s new vault piece “You’re Losing Me” hints that Alwyn doesn’t want to take their relationship to the next level.
In the song, the singer suggests that the 32-year-old British actor does not want to marry her, which causes their love to fade.
“I wouldn’t marry me either. A pathological human taste. Who asked you to see him,” she sings on the mighty bridge.
In the midst of all the drama though, Alwyn, who prefers to stay out of the spotlight, is reportedly “doing her best to stay busy and focus on herself”.
