Tina Turner revealed the secret to a life well lived just weeks before her death.
The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, who died Wednesday at the age of 83, cryptically told British Vogue in an interview published on April 17 how she managed to live fully despite all the hardships she endured.
“What does it mean to have lived well?” Answering the question, “My life is full but full of many sad moments that I now forgive and try to forget.
“Maybe that’s the answer: aiming to keep moving forward, let it flow, and fill your life with love,” he added. “Here I am now, and I’m grateful.”
In the same interview, Turner was asked what “advice” he would give to his youth.
“I would tell myself to stay strong and keep wanting and fighting for more! It will come and it will be worth the wait!” told the magazine.

The death of the legendary singer was announced on his Instagram account next to a black and white portrait.
The caption read, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner.”
With his music and boundless passion for life, he has captivated millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.”
The subtitle continued: “Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who left us his greatest work: his music. All our sincere sympathy goes to his family. Tina, we will miss you terribly.”
A specific cause of death has not yet been disclosed; however, his representative said he was battling a “long illness”.
“Proud Mary” and “What Does Love Have To Do With It?” The hitmaker is survived by her second husband, Erwin Bach, and two of their four children.
