Like many of Dyson’s offerings, this blow dryer is likely to blow up your social media feeds. Hairstylist Kendall Dorsey, who has worked with stars like Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B, tells Page Six Style that she uses a dryer with a diffuser attachment and a paddle brush that offers “good tension.”
Also, Kerry Washington has put together a long list of A-list fans like Lady Gaga and Julia Fox, who used it to prepare for her Super Bowl halftime show performance in 2017.
The second star (who describes himself as a “weird addiction” to hair dryers) once told Strategist that “Dyson has a different engine.” “It’s hollow and not that loud, but just as effective… and it doesn’t dry out your hair.”
Hair expert Harry Josh has worked with stars like Gisele Bündchen before launching the product line of the same name in 2013, and mint green hair dryers have been fresh in Hollywood ever since.
Joseph Maine, a celebrity hairstylist who has worked with Jennifer Aniston, Katie Holmes, and Gemma Chan (to name a few), says it’s her “preferred” dryer because of its compact yet powerful design.
“The 9-foot cord is extremely maneuverable, while its quiet operation allows for uninterrupted conversations,” says the expert, who serves as Color Wow’s artistic director.
“Airflow matches an impressive 80 mph! My current vehicle has been serving me for close to three years without any problems.”
Another item in Dorsey’s styling arsenal? This stylish tool with a deep diffuser to protect curly hair from frizz.
By the way, Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheben once said he even gave Page Six Style a blow dryer as a holiday present: “The lightest hair dryer I’ve ever felt. It’s literally like a feather and it’s so powerful it throws you back when you turn it on.” ”
Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty brand has dived into heat tools in early 2023 with the launch of this blow dryer designed for “curly, frizzy and tightly textured hair.”
“Like all of us, I have a relationship that starts with a warmth that isn’t good for my curls, whether it’s the physical pain of heat or the emotional pain of losing my curls,” she told People about her inspiration. for the instrument offering up to six customized airflow and temperature settings.
Another tool popular in Hollywood? It’s this Hot Tools iron that Dorsey recommends as “an especially great choice for textured hair because it heats up quickly.”
The mane master adds, “It also has lower heat settings for other hair types and comes in a variety of barrel lengths… so you can find an option that fits your curl type and hair texture.”
Still working out the details of your hairstyling routine? GHD’s curlers are a favorite of celebrity stylists like Kimberly Gueldner, who has worked with people like Amy Schumer as well as co-founded Vöel Hair Studio.
“I love the creative curl wand. Its preset temperature provides heat protection while also providing a permanent curl.” “The shape of the wand offers lots of different styling options for the curls, which is fun.”
Meanwhile, Maine is a fan of GHD for the Curve Curling Iron ($205), which she says “stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness.”
Many hair experts agree that the T3 curling iron is the best; Kahh Spence used this to recreate Beyoncé’s “B’day” album for a Vogue video, while celebrity stylist Mara Roszak told People she “loves” her for “shiny and not overheating” curls.
Call it the transition from “Work from Home” to styling at home. Celebrity stylist Sarah Potempa founded Beachwaver in 2010 and has long used the curling iron on her celebrity client, Camila Cabello.
“You press a button and it does it for you, which is great. It can take a long time without the button – and it’s an arm workout,” Cabello once told Harper’s Bazaar about the spinning shaper.
Maine’s mane-styling go-tos also include this flat iron from her own line, which she tells us she’s “obsessed with right now.”
“This straightener makes it easy to both straighten and curl,” she explains, adding that the ventilation system “cools hair instantly, helping to fix the style, increase shine and minimize heat-related damage.”
Keeping all of Dyson’s celebrity fans straight can be tough. In addition to the famous hair dryers, the brand’s hair straightener is also Hailey Bieber’s favourite; once put the tool to the test in a “night out” hair tutorial on his YouTube channel.
For something easier on the wallet, Revlon’s flat iron comes in under $40. According to The Hollywood Reporter, celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, known for her work with the Kardashians, Jennifer Lopez, and more, drives the top-rated tool in her MasterClass.
Looking to spice up your beauty routine with a tool that Posh Spice loves? While celebrities like Zendaya and Jessica Alba have used curlers from GHD, celebrity hairstylist Guido Palau used the brand’s straighteners on models at Victoria Beckham’s fashion show to give them “really that shiny, smooth texture” that radiates “high-maintenance simplicity.” Harper’s Bazaar UK in 2017.
If you have a curvy “thing to do” on your to-do list, consider hesitations like the celebrity-loved Mermade styler. Bieber, Sofia Richie, Rita Ora, and Larsa Pippen used the viral gadget to style their hair strands in both beach waves and Old Hollywood-like styles.
Jen Atkin’s products can be loved by celebrities as much as the stylist herself. The Kardashian family’s hair guru has founded not just one but two haircare brands over the years: Ouai, which focuses on products, and Mane Addicts, which offers styling tools and accessories.
In addition to This Totally Blows! The Hair Dryer ($125), the latter’s offerings include this wavy tool designed for “crease-free, frizz-free, tousled styling,” according to the product description.
Celebrities like Kylie Jenner don’t keep their favorite styling tools a secret. The makeup tycoon used Dyson’s famous AirWrap Multi-Styler on a TikTok, while Lindsay Lohan described the tool as “really nice and easy” in a recent Allure interview.
Want to “Shake” with a new beauty tool? Zendaya’s hairstylist, Antoinette Hill, used this under $200 blow dryer to perform her updo for the 2022 Oscars.
