Taylor Swift claims she’s “totally fine” after fans noticed that the singer was performing with an open wound during her show in Houston, Texas on Sunday night.
“Note to those who ask how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was totally my fault”, “Anti-Hero” singer, 33, Wrote via Twitter Monday, next to her photos taken on stage.
Quickly to console her fanbase, Swift, a month into the Eras Tour, went on to explain that she got caught in the skirt of her dress and “falls behind the dark backstage” as she changes, supporting the fall “with her palm”.
While it’s unclear which dress’s skirt is the culprit, one of the three photos Swift included in the post features a white, flowing, floor-length dress that doesn’t look so easy to navigate as she changes in the dark.
“It was all Mercury retrograde. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine 😘,” he mocked, making an astrological reference that is popularly said to bring different kinds of misfortune.
Swift also didn’t seem too phased out by the wound in a video that went viral on TikTok, where the singer can be seen giving it all on stage despite trying multiple ways to heal the wound.
The Grammy winner, who said she broke up with Joe Alwyn in early April after six years of dating, described the three-night stint in Houston as “crazy,” guaranteed to make a positive comeback despite her somersault.
“I wake up smiling remembering how much fun we all had,” she wrote.

Adding that he is “seriously looking forward” to the next tour stop in Atlanta, Ga., Swift gushing out from his fan base, “I love this tour because of the passion this crowd brings to everything.”
One Twitter user applauded Swift’s stamina, saying, “Men cancel [sic] Taylor Swift shows off for banging her toes on the side of the bed while performing [sic] A 3-hour show with half of his hand missing.”
“Your mental and physical strength is truly inspiring. Thank you for reassuring us that you’re okay,” another user wrote, praising the singer for continuing her performance.
As previously reported, Swift is making the most of her time on tour, reassuring fans that all is well in the midst of her recent breakup from 32-year-old Alwyn. Tampa, Fla., on April 15. A fan holding a sign asking the singer if he’s okay.
Swift also tries to spend quality time with her girl crew between shows with Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and sisters Haim during a trip to New York on April 20.
All in all, this “Sensitive” singer seems to be doing just fine.
