They need to calm down.
Taylor Swift’s fans were drenched in blood when Emma Laird posted a photo of the singer’s ex-girlfriend, Joe Alwyn, on social media on Tuesday.
The actress sparked outrage by posting a picture of her “The Brutalist” co-star on a scooter to a slideshow on Instagram featuring several more.
Laird, 24, wrote “Moments in March❤️🎥” in the post.
Some Swifties even went so far as to believe that Alwyn’s appearance on the carousel meant she was dating her fellow actress.
“We love you guys for ending Taylor and Joe’s relationship,” said an anonymous troll. I wrote in the comment section.
“Now THAT is suspect. Especially if it’s true that she likes what has been written about Taylor&Joe’s breakup. 🤔 Sounds like she wants attention. Well, now he finally got it.” tweeted another.
The hate seems to have intensified so much that Laird turned off the comments on her post. His representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Swift also didn’t talk about her fans’ recent behavior, and her rep didn’t immediately respond to our request.
However, several Swifties turned their backs on their fandom friends for “bullying” Laird.
“The thieves who attacked Emma Laird need to touch the grass” someone tweeted. “As if you were seriously assuming that Joe cheated on Taylor with no real evidence and you’re sending him hate? Find a goddamn job or hobby. Something.”
A second fan wrote“Some of the ‘quick things’ scare me… It’s saddening to me that Emma Laird had to close her Instagram comment section due to swirling rumors that Joe was cheating on Taylor with her.”

On April 8, Page Six confirmed that Swift, 33, and Alwyn, 32, had split after spending six years together, but infidelity was not cited as the reason for the separation.
“It wasn’t dramatic,” a source told us at the time. “[The relationship] he just ran his route.
Since he stopped calling, the ex-couple continued their normal routine.
Alwyn is in Hungary to film “The Brutalist” with Laird and her co-stars Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce.
Meanwhile, Swift spends time with close friends like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds on her sold-out Eras Tour and on her days off.
