Taylor Lautner flexed her biceps in a mirror selfie after critics claimed she was aging “like a raisin.”
The 31-year-old “Twilight” heartthrob posed in a muscular T-shirt and blue training shorts before heading to a gym session Thursday that left him hot and sweaty.
Lautner confidently showed off his tight muscles and captioned his Instagram story “Let’s go”.
Hours later, she took a moist post-workout selfie with “I told you so” written on it.
The fit actor, known for showing off his six-packs in the “Twilight” movie franchise, seemed to ditch the hateful comments from trolls who said he “looks like old broccoli” and “hasn’t aged well”.
Lautner opened up about the negative comments he received after appearing on “Today” with his wife named Taylor in a vulnerable Instagram video on May 22.
The “Don’t Miss” star claimed that she doesn’t usually read the comments on social media and was shocked to hear what people were saying about her.
“If this had happened 10 years ago, five years ago, maybe even two, three years ago, that would have really affected me deeply,” he said.
“It would make me want to just go in a hole and not come out, absolutely [not] press and do interviews and put myself in the position where I need to see this kind of thing.
Lautner, who used the video to promote Mental Health Awareness Month, said he learned how to avoid falling into despair because of people’s opinions.
“You find value wherever you put it,” he continued. “And if you place your value on what other people think of you, that’s how you’ll feel.

“But if you show your worth by knowing who you are, what’s important to you, what you love, those kinds of things won’t get to you.”
The actor finished his video by encouraging others to be kind.
“It is not that difficult. Let’s be nice to each other. Let’s spread love and positivity. It’s that simple,” he said.
Lautner previously talked about her struggles with her body on her podcast “The Squeeze” in February.
The Hollywood star, who has appeared topless a few times in the “Twilight” movies, said that since 2008, while shooting fantasy romance movies, she was negatively impacted by the pressure to hit the gym several times a day, about six times a week. 2012.
“When I was in it, between the ages of 16 and 20, when I played in this series where my character is known for taking off his shirt every second, no, I didn’t know that it had or would affect me. in the future with body image,” he said.
“But looking back now, of course it did and of course it will.”
He continued, “I was 140kg in the first movie and was 175 in ‘New Moon’… So yeah, that wasn’t my natural body. I had to work hard for it and I had to work very, very hard just to keep it up.”
After filming wrapped, Lautner said he stopped going to the gym often and watched his body return to “normal”.
“I remember one of the first times I saw it online was very difficult. I was shooting a movie called ‘Run The Tide,’ and my character here is by no means a bodybuilder or a ripped man. I thought I looked good.”
Until fans started comparing her “natural” body to her “Twilight” body, Lautner became shy, which became brutal for her sanity.
One lesson the actor has learned since then is that he doesn’t value how he looks.
“Don’t think that just because you’ve lost 20 pounds or built muscle, you’re going to wake up and look in the mirror and suddenly be happy. That’s not where you need to find value,” he said.
