Fans may have a hard time separating Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Lautner, but the couple’s families have been adept at keeping them apart.
“It’s kind of ‘Boy Tay,’ ‘Girl Tay,’ continues,” Girl Tay said on a recent “Today” show with Boy Tay, adding that her loved ones “use cheeky nicknames even when we’re not together.”
In both his hilarious social media videos and his mental health podcast “The Squeeze,” the actor refers to his wife as Tay and the nurse as her husband Taylor.
The Twilight series star married Tay, née Dome, in November 2022, exactly one year after he proposed. The couple dated for three years before getting engaged.
(The actor had previously dated another Taylor: Swift. The two dated for a few months in 2019).
Taylor, 31, talked about how she was introduced to “Today” co-hosts Sheinelle Jones and Jacob Soboroff by her sister Makena Lautner.
“Soon after we met and became friends, [my sister] He called me and was like, ‘I have this new friend and I think he’s your future wife. You should meet him,” she shared. “She takes credit for that.”
When asked if she and her husband’s younger brother are “still friends”, Tay replied, “Oh, yes. She’s my sister! She’s my only sister. I’m an only child.”
The 26-year-old health specialist also admitted that Taylor “previously took part” in the “Edward Team”, her rival in the “Twilight” movie series on the screen, but when she said “Yes” she switched to the “Jacob Team”.
Last month, the movie star gave his blushing bride the “best birthday surprise ever” – “11.11.22” matched her inner wrist tattoos of their wedding date.
“Wasn’t it enough to match the names?” one Instagram user mocked another as suggesting that the duo “should have gotten the word ‘Taylor'”.
