“Former President Trump went to trial on 34 felony charges Tuesday, and a photographer posted this photo of Trump in a courtroom,” said Colin Jost. Saturday night liveIn this week’s “Weekend Update”, she shares a photo of the previous—and future wannabe—president nervously looking straight at the camera.
“I don’t like being surrounded by an OJ amount of lawyers,” he continued. “Because that tells me he’s definitely guilty. And he’s definitely getting away with it.”
Jost went on to explain how Trump’s attorney, Joe Tacopina (aka The Fake Soprano), complained that his client didn’t believe he would get a fair trial in Manhattan, and that he thought the “Weekend Update” co-host might be him. Even if they judge it by the work of the sketch artist in the courtroom, whom Jost thinks might well hate the ex-president.
“I thought Trump looked very nice,” admitted Jost. “She mixed her foundation and stapled her hair. But then he drew it like a Mud Monster. Scooby-Doo.
Michael Che wasn’t going to let Jost take all the fun Trump stories of the week and run with them, so he interrupted his co-host to complain that Trump was “a very dark cloud over our beloved country.” Che is pretty sure this is the same way Trump has described Barack Obama in the past.
