Simone Biles’ wedding celebrations aren’t over yet.
Just days after saying “Yes” to NFL star Jonathan Owens, the 26-year-old Olympic gymnast announced on her Instagram Story on Sunday that another wedding would take place “in a few weeks.”
In response to a fan who asked if a larger wedding was planned, the award-winning athlete said, “We had to get married ‘legally’ here in the US because our wedding was going to be a destination wedding.”
The next wedding will feature a champagne, gold, and white color scheme and feature eight bridesmaids, seven groomsmen, and about 140 people, Biles detailed.
He also hinted that the upcoming wedding venue would not be in the US, as they were “waiting for several passports”.

Biles and Owens, 27, shared on social media on Saturday that they had made their union official at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston, Texas.
Biles captioned “I’m 🤍 officially Owens 🤍” under a romantic series of photos of herself and the Houston Texans player on Instagram.
Owens offered a similar selection of shots on her Instagram page, including more behind-the-scenes looks at the couple who said “Yes”.
“My person, forever ❤️💍,” added two hashtags to the caption: “#TheOwens” and “#ItsOfficial.”
While Biles wore a gorgeous, layered white dress by Selfie Leslie over the weekend and Owens wore a tan suit, the gymnast said on her Instagram Story that she’ll be wearing four gowns at her destination wedding.
“It’s a bit dramatic, but you only have one wedding,” Biles wrote. He added that he and Owens are saving their real wedding rings for the upcoming ceremony.
Biles also noted that he expects the upcoming big day to be full of emotion.
“I don’t know how to get over this,” he wrote. “I cried and choked a lot at the courthouse, and that was just basic oaths.”
