Results for the 2023 BET Awards have been announced!
At this year’s ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, Drake was the most nominated artist with seven songs, including best male hip-hop artist, best male R&B/pop artist, and best group with 21 Savage.
Drake, 36, is also nominated for best collaboration with Future and Tems (“Wait for U”), as well as album of the year and audience’s choice.
Following Drake with six nominations is GloRilla, who was named a BET Amplified Artist last year. The 23-year-old rapper rose to fame with the hit “FNF (Let’s Go)” last year and was nominated for best female hip-hop artist, best new artist, album of the year. Anyway, Life is Great and video of the year and best collaboration with Hitkidd and Cardi B for their feature films.
Lizzo and 21 Savage each receive five nominations, while Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Ice Spice and SZA are vying for four.
The BET Awards, “the ultimate platform to showcase the best, brightest, and most beautiful aspects of the black experience”, are streamed live on BET at 8pm ET/PT.
