[Retired] stars… they are just like us!
Bridget Fonda, 59, was spotted by paparazzi during a rare trip while passing through Los Angeles International Airport on Monday night.
In the midst of her return from her travels, the former actress, who left show business more than twenty years ago, donned dark-rimmed reading glasses over her bare face and tied her gray hair in a low ponytail.
Dressed comfortably in a gray-and-white striped knit sweater and black tracksuit paired with sneakers, Fonda and her 18-year-old son Oliver Elfman walked through the crowded terminal.
They were seen rolling their own suitcases, carrying their own bags, and climbing the escalator to the ground floor.
As they stepped out onto the outer curb, they chatted and scrolled on their phones while they waited for their ride.
When Fonda’s black SUV stopped, a particularly enthusiastic paparazzo approached him to ask him some questions.
“Everybody wants to know if you want to make a movie in Hollywood,” the man asked, and Fonda, running as fast as she could, replied, “No.”
“Any luck?” He pressed it and got the same reaction with a nod.
Pope later praised the movie star for his “iconic career” – which he left behind to start a family with now-wife Danny Elfman in 2002 – and reminded him that he had acted in “some of the greatest movies”. “The Godfather Part III”, “The Single White Woman” and “Jackie Brown.”
“It’s good to be a civilian,” Fonda said, sneering at the man’s question once more, flattered.
He confidently declared that there was no director who could convince him to make a comeback, and then slammed the car door.

Fonda comes from a long line of legendary actors.
Her aunt is two-time Oscar winner Jane Fonda, whose brother is Bridget’s late father, Peter Fonda.
In fact, Bridget made her big screen debut at the age of 4 with her father’s 1969 movie “Easy Rider”.
Also, her grandfather, Henry Fonda, won an Academy Award for his role in “On Golden Pond” in 1982.
Bridget has only been spotted a handful of times since she stepped back from the spotlight.
On her 58th birthday in January 2022, the Golden Globe nominee was seen doing errands in Los Angeles for the first time in 12 years.
It was photographed in the same capacity earlier this month.
In 1993, Bridget told Movieline that she often questioned whether she would have been “more peaceful” if her last name hadn’t famously stepped foot in the door.
“I wonder how it feels to know you’ve made it all on your own steam,” she shared at the time.
