Sam Smith has been criticized online for his recent “evil” and “grotesque” tour performances.
The non-duo and pronoun-using artist was criticized for the show “Gloria the Tour” following the success of their fourth studio album of the same name.
Stage outfits include devil horns, nipple tassels, and wire tiaras.
“Last night, Sam Smith put on a diabolical spectacle filled with sexual references, fetish gear, striptease and grotesque parody of sex acts on stage with children in the audience.” Oli London tweeted.
“She did a striptease routine while on stage in a fetish outfit,” London continued. “Is this suitable for children?”
“[Sam Smith] he is a disgusting evil pervert” another critic tweeted. “Any serious society treats this demon like Old Yeller.”

This is not the first time the “Stay With Me” singer has been criticized for her stage performances this year.
In February, Smith wore similar costumes and performed “Unholy” with collaborator Kim Petras at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The rendition of their standout single sparked the anger of some conservative politicians, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who called the performance “poor”.
Some social media users quickly responded to Cruz, but one responded: “Evil is when a man breaks into a school and kills a dozen children. Evil is Russia bombing schools and hospitals to steal land. musician, in a demonic outfit He sings a hit song, dancing in it.”
Smith was also criticized for her sexy Christian Cowan-designed costumes that featured dazzling corsets and nipple lozenges in the “I’m Not Here to Make Friends” music video.
Some described the visuals as “vile and evil” and accused Smith of “putting their sexuality in a costume and hitting everyone in the face”.
Followers of the showman immediately defended the singer, with one fan saying, “If Sam Smith was thin, cis, and straight, he wouldn’t be mocked for his presentation and dressing style.”
