Sam Asghari criticized TMZ’s “disgusting” TV special about wife Britney Spears before it aired on Monday night.
“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people in her life when she had no voice, they went and told her story as if it were their own,” Asghari began in a video posted on her Instagram Story Sunday night.
“It was absolutely disgusting.”
The transition from personal trainer to acting later recalled the “Toxic” singer’s treatment during her former conservatory, over which she had no control over her life.
“How are you going to take the most influential person of his generation, America’s sweetheart, the Princess of Pop, and throw him in his father’s prison? [Jamie Spears] Is she telling him what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use it as a money making machine?” Asghari asked his audience.
Asghari, 29, took aim at the selling point as she put 41-year-old Britney “under the microscope” when she was finally freed from her family and management’s control, and encouraged readers not to be fooled by the “clickbait” stories.
“Suddenly – 15 years later, after all that gaslighting, after he’s been released – now you’re going to put him under the microscope and tell his story?” he asked rhetorically.
“No, no, that’s gross too, so don’t do that and don’t believe what you read on the internet,” Asghari continued.
“Ninety-nine percent of these are clickbait. [stories] for you to click and for them to make money and then it’s done.

Asghari concluded his video, which has since been deleted, by saying that all “gaslighting and st” should stop.
The “Hacks” graduate’s post came hours before TMZ published a story claiming that he and Britney’s marriage, which began in June 2022, is already in “deep trouble.”
The outlet also claimed that the “Sometimes” singer had physical contact with her husband during screaming matches and that she no longer spends much time at their home.
An earlier clip from the exclusive claimed Britney was addicted to caffeine and would stay awake for days, but she later responded with an Instagram post that downvoted the report.
“My mind is busy and sometimes that can be an easy target to deal with 🙄,” she wrote in her post.
“Anyway, I’m sticking with watermelon juice which is the weirdest thing ever but I’ve been told for years that I can’t drink coffee and now that I can, it’s my pride… I can’t even look!!!”
The “Gimme More” singer said that green tea was her “valuable asset”, noting that she never stayed up late with Red Bull, adding that it was “absolutely the worst drink ever”.
