Roseanne Barr is still mad at ABC and Sara Gilbert.
Of course we already knew that; The comedian returned to stand-up with a subtly titled Fox Nation special earlier this year. Cancel This! and he took the comeback tour as an opportunity to drop in some new voiceovers yelling at his old home network for firing him over a tweet about Valerie Jarrett in 2018. Now, Barr is back to poking his ex roseanne also the lead actor.
“It wasn’t enough,” the comedian said when he appeared on Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM show this week. [Gilbert] He stabbed me in the back and did what he did to me there, but then he went on a daily talk show and on top of that he talked about how shocked he was at my racism.”
“It was every day,” Barr added, referring to Gilbert’s alleged comments about himself. Speech. “I did that show when she needed a guest at screenings; I went there every time he asked me on scans.
At one point Barr remembered calling Gilbert; He adopted a lower, pebbly tone as he replayed his warning, “You better shut up about me. I’m telling you, you better shut up.
“And it did,” Barr finished later, “My voice can be very scary.”
ABC fired Barr in 2018 after he tweeted with Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to Barack Obama, mocking the “Muslim Brotherhood and the planet of the apes have had a baby=vj”. Created and co-hosted by Gilbert Speechdescribed Barr’s tweet at the time as “disgusting.” The network fired Barr hours after he posted his tweet.

(He checked the names of Norm MacDonald and Bob Einstein, both now deceased, for example.) “They said, ‘They’re trying to force you to commit suicide,'” Barr recounted.

(The Gilbert rep did not respond. Show FairAt the time, he voiced his grievances multiple times against ABC and other players in the fiasco.
This February, during an appearance on Fox News, Barr blasted ABC for his tweet claiming it wouldn’t let me “go to any of his other shows and apologize” – blaming Ambien at the time. (In addition to Gilbert, Barr claimed that Michelle Obama was responsible for her dismissal.)
Barr believes ABC should invite him to their show, whose hosts are facing their own “more dreadful” firestorm. prime example? Jimmy Kimmel apologizing for his past sketches of wearing a black face in 2020.
“Jimmy Kimmel and his [former] his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, made a black face and [ABC] Barr didn’t even say, “It’s wrong of you to do that” on Fox News in February. “And they let that go.”
On the other hand, he doesn’t seem ready to drop anything anytime soon.
