Page Six can confirm that Madonna has been discharged from the hospital following a health scare that resulted in her being placed in intensive care.
The BBC reported on Thursday that the 64-year-old music superstar was “feeling much better and at home” after discharge.
Meanwhile, a source told CNN on Thursday that Madonna was taken to her home in New York in a private ambulance.
Page Six can also confirm that a police escort was seen outside the property of the “Material Girl” singer.
Their children were photographed visiting their sick mother while she was recovering.
Madonna’s sons, David Banda, and Rocco Ritchie, whose father is film director Guy Ritchie, were photographed arriving at his Upper East Side apartment on Wednesday.
Guy Oseary, the longtime manager of the “Like a Virgin” singer, announced that his A-list client was hospitalized in an Instagram post Wednesday.
At the time, he shared that Madonna developed a “serious bacterial infection” that led to “a few days” in intensive care on Saturday.
“His health is improving, but he is under medical care,” the music manager said. “A full recovery is expected”
Page Six later learned in private how serious Madonna’s illness was, and a source told us that Madonna had become “unresponsive” at one point.

The “Like a Prayer” singer was also said to have been intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed, but an insider also noted that he was now “awake and recovering.”
Sources later gave us additional information on what caused Madonna’s health to deteriorate.
An insider told us privately on Wednesday that the “Express Yourself” singer was “tiringly rehearsing” for her upcoming “Celebration” tour and put in a “12 hour day”.
As a result of Madonna’s recent illness, her tour scheduled to begin July 15 in Vancouver has been suspended.
“At this time we will need to pause all our commitments, including the tour,” 50-year-old Oseary said in a statement.
“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and any rescheduled shows.”
It seems that the decision to stop the performances was made by Madonna’s management team, not the pop star herself.
Earlier, a source told us, “Madonna does not want to cancel her tour. He was having so much fun at rehearsals and wants to come back when he’s ready.”
An insider added that the “Frozen” singer was “game” to “finally” hit the road, but “his team didn’t want to push him.”
Madonna has yet to mention in her own statement that she was hospitalized. However, her longtime friend Rosie O’Donnell told fans on Thursday that the Grammy-winning actress was “feeling good.”
Page Six reached out to Madonna’s representatives for comment.
