Pink was speechless after a concertgoer threw a bag of her mother’s ashes onto the stage on the headline set at the British Summer Time festival in London over the weekend.
“Is this your mother?” Pink, 43, asked while picking up a plastic bag containing the cremated remains. In a witness video posted on Twitter On Monday.
“I don’t know how I feel about this,” Pink admitted with a shocked expression on her face, staggering to her feet and laying the ashes on the edge of the stage.
The pop star could also be seen waving behind a speaker as if trying to clean her hands, continuing to sing “Just Like a Pill” while still stunned.
“Someone gave their mother’s ashes to Pink. I need you to have girlish boundaries what?! The witness captioned the video.
Another Twitter user claimed to know the reason for the scattering of the ashes, “Okay, my friends stood up. [sic] next to this lady and back story… her mother was very ill when she was alive so she couldn’t go out, so this lady is taking her ashes to the ground.
“So she’s going out now, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but if it puts this woman at ease, then it’s up to her. Not for me.
Several other netizens responded to the clip to share their thoughts on the surprising event.
“He handled it well, because if someone gave me his mother’s ashes, I would definitely be pissed,” wrote one person, adding, “Now I understand why some celebrities act coldly.”

One fan joked, quoting the song Pink was singing at the time, “I’m so sorry, I lost myself singing can’t stay on your life support while laying the ashes on the ground.”
“It was a complete display of shock/confusion. [Pink’s] face for me It handled it well because it was really weird,” added another.
“He said where Sanny’s hand was,” wrote one joker.
“She was embarrassed 😂,” said one fan.
A more understanding fan added, “I think she wanted her mom to watch Pink and be happy 🙏🏻 so be it.”
“I feel like security at a concert would be like going through TSA if people don’t stop being weird,” one more person said.
The shocking moment was the last in a series of fans throwing things onto the stage.
Just last week, a reckless concert goer threw his phone at Bebe Rexha during her performance in New York. But things went wrong when the phone caught her eye and she had to end her show early and go to the hospital where she had a few stitches.
In 2022, Harry Styles was showered with Skittles during one of his Love on Tour shows in Los Angeles and also injured his eye.
That same year, Lady Gaga hit by an object on the head It was thrown at him during a performance in Toronto, Canada.
Pink’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
