Nicki Minaj’s neighbors team up to kick rap superstar and convicted criminal husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty out of their lavish community.
Hundreds of residents in Hidden Hills, California, where members of the Kardashian-Jenner family live, signed up to a Change.org petition to voice their concerns about Petty’s status as a registered sex offender.
The defense began circulating the internet in December 2022 after it was reported that the 40-year-old “Super Bass” artist had purchased a $19.5 million property in the upscale neighborhood.
However, more than 500 people signed the petition last week after Petty submitted legal documents to update his address on the Megan’s Law website, according to TMZ.
According to a government website, federal law requires authorities to make information about registered sex offenders available “so that the public can better protect themselves and their families.”
Hidden Hills is home to a host of high-profile celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Simpson and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.
The petition, prepared by resident Beverly Bardan, claimed that the couple’s presence in the neighborhood would raise security concerns and devalue the area.

“We Hidden Hills residents must put the safety of our residents first. Do not expect to receive a letter from the government stating that a predator has entered your vicinity,” wrote the concerned neighbor.
“DO NOT let this dangerous sex offender live near you, SHOW you’re against sex offenders in our Hidden Hills neighborhood!”
Minaj’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Petty, 45, is currently under house arrest for a year because he did not register as a sex offender in California. He was also sentenced to three years of probation on federal charges in July 2022.
He was convicted in New York of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl in 1995, years before his love affair with music industry professional Minaj. By law, she was required to register as a sex offender in that state, she.
Petty moved to California in October 2019 after marrying Minaj. The couple welcomed their son, nicknamed Papa Bear, in September 2020.
The “Chun Li” rapper took her husband’s side amid his legal troubles and defended him multiple times.
After backlash against their relationship, she addressed the allegations of sexual abuse via Instagram in December 2018.
Minaj said at the time, “She was 15, she was 16… she was in a relationship. But go, internet, you can’t manage my life. You can’t even manage your own life.”
