Jamie Foxx’s former co-star Natasha Blasick was “freaking out” at being hospitalized – until an update from a friend made her feel “a lot better”.
The actor texted one of Foxx’s close friends amid “all the news that it was getting worse,” and his friend sent some reassurance.
“It was like, ‘No, no, no, he’s getting better,'” Blasick told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday.
The 52-year-old actress noted that she and her loved ones are still “praying together” for the actor’s health.
“It’s really crazy,” Blasick said. “The only thing we have in this world is our health. Our life. That’s why it’s so scary.”
Foxx, 55, suffered a “medical complication” on April 11, the day after she was photographed on the set of “Come Back” with Cameron Diaz.
The singer has been in a hospital in Georgia since the movie was shot with a double body.
“Due to swift action and great care, she is already on her way to recovery,” wrote her daughter, Corinne Foxx, via Instagram last month, and declined to share further details about her father’s condition.
Three weeks passed before Jamie gave his social media followers his update.

“Appreciate all the love!!! I feel blessed,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote Wednesday, with emojis of praying hands, heart and fox.
Jamie also thanked Nick Cannon via Instagram Stories for taking over the role of “Beat the Shazam” host during his recovery. (Kelly Osbourne replaces Corinne as DJ.)
While Cannon, Kevin Hart, and Martin Lawrence have recently insisted that the “Ray” star is recovering, a source tells Page Six that his medical emergency “seems serious.”
An insider notes that loved ones “keep things close to the vest” while Jamie recovers.
Another source tells us that “nothing has changed” and Jamie is “still in the same situation” when friends of the Golden Globe winner took to social media to desperately pray for prayers earlier this week.
