Morgan Wallen is free!
The country singer revealed that she was given permission to “speak and sing” after weeks of vocal rest.
“The doctor cleared me for speaking and singing… we’re back,” the 29-year-old wrote on Tuesday’s Instagram Story alongside a photo of him on a boat.
While the “Wasted On You” singer has not revealed exactly when she will take the stage, she is scheduled to hold a show in Chicago on June 22.
The good news comes nearly a month after Wallen canceled their six-week tour dates due to “vocal cord trauma.”
“After 10 days of vocal rest, I did three shows in Florida last weekend. And on the third, I felt so bad,” he told his followers.
“They asked me not to speak at all, but they said it’s okay if I had to talk,” he explained.
He also revealed that he recently tore his latissimus dorsi muscle while performing in Australia.

“[My doctors] The “Sand In My Boots” singer said if I do this right, I’ll be back 100 percent. “They also said that if I don’t listen and keep singing, I permanently damage my voice. So for the longevity of my career, it’s just a choice I have to make.”
Before the hiatus, the country star faced backlash in April after pulling out of a concert just minutes before she started taking the stage.
“Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and will not be able to perform tonight,” the screen reads.
“Therefore, tonight’s show has been cancelled. Please make your way to the stadium exits safely. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase.”
As 60,000 concert audiences rushed out of the arena, they took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
“Totally disappointed at @MorganWallen!! He has been sitting in this stadium for 3 hours and just announced that the show has been cancelled!!! COMPLETE BULLS–T!!!” a fan tweeted.
“You can’t cancel a show 5 minutes before showtime. Period. If he was sick or had no voice, he knew it long before. pathetic” another twitter user wrote.
“I’m not so angry that I haven’t seen Morgan Wallen because I’ve seen him before. What I’m most disappointed with is that they knew this before the concert and everyone got their money’s worth by allowing over 80,000 people to buy drinks and products before canceling.” one participant tweetedincorrectly states that the seating capacity of the venue is 64,038.
Although rumors circulated that the singer was “too drunk” to perform that night, her company quickly denied the “false” narrative.
