Morgan Freeman receives a birthday present from famous friends.
On Thursday, the actor turned 86, and on Instagram, Michael Douglas shared a smiling photo with Freeman to honor him. The couple worked together on the 2013 comedy passing vegas (with Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline) and in the Netflix series Kominsky Method.
“Happy birthday, my friend, I had an amazing time working with Morgan on the final season of @morganfreeman! Kominsky Method. Got a great one, Morgan! MD,” wrote Douglas, 78, in the caption.
Freeman responded to the comments, “Thanks, friend.”
Zach Braff, who finally directed Freeman in the movie A good personHe also paid a tribute. Braff, 48, posted a photo on Instagram of Freeman kissing him on the cheek and joked. scrubs The costar and his friend Donald Faison are jealous.

Freeman said in 2021 Parade magazine whether he plans to retire someday. The Oscar-winning actress said at the time, “I think this job is retiring you. I’m not so sure I can say, ‘Well, yeah, I’m going to retire,’ because if your phone keeps ringing, I’ll probably keep working. So I’m going to stand there and probably say no.”
“When I started my career, not when I wanted to be an actor, I just wanted to be a working actor until then,” he added.
“You kind of start out wanting to be a star, but I learned very quickly that as soon as I got into the business of being a star, it’s a weird dream to have,” she said. “If you can find enough work to pay your rent, you’ll be a happy camper.”
