Shaun Weiss finds some humor in his past battle with drug addiction.

According to a video of the performance obtained by TMZ, the 44-year-old actor joked on set about the years he spent battling heroin and meth addictions and repeatedly told the crowd, “It was tough.”
“I don’t know if you’ve seen it: the child actor arrested for theft,” Weiss says in the video. “I’m so disappointed in myself… I haven’t even disguised. What’s going on? Come on, Goldberg, you can do better than that.”
“Let me tell you, they don’t use any Instagram filters at the station,” Weiss joked about a criminal photo taken after his arrest for theft in January 2020. “This photo was rude. You know the drug dealer looks bad when he doesn’t want to be seen in public with you. That’s when you have to reevaluate everything.”
Celebrating three sober years in an Instagram post on January 25, Weiss has been doing stand-up comedy in recent weeks and looks to be preparing for a one-week tour across much of the country in June.
The actor explained that he turned to theft and petty theft to support drug addiction on the set of his stand-up, “You don’t have a drug problem until you run out of money, do you?” he joked.

“This is where the drugs will take you. I took a court-ordered anti-theft course, it was $450, but I figured out how to get it for free,” he joked, according to the video, which was seized by TMZ. “What were they waiting for?”
Weiss is back in the acting world with the movie that just came out last year. Jesus Revolution. “So I was so addicted to the excitement of things,” he added at the time. “And when that went away, I really didn’t know how to get that feeling. And I found it in drugs.”
