Matty Healy knows the questions on everyone’s mind.
During a performance of The 1975 at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend music festival, the lead singer apparently hinted at her love affair with Taylor Swift, according to rumors.
“A little bit of all? Is it sincere Will you ever handle it? asked the crowd. “All these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentlemen, this is The 1975.”
Healy, 34, and Swift, 33, first sparked dating rumors in early May after the “Somebody Else” singer was spotted at the Eras Tour concert in Nashville.
Around the same time, sources told The Sun that the couple were already “madly in love”, despite reportedly dating for less than two months.
Shortly after, the couple raised their eyebrows after they were seen kissing at New York’s celebrity attraction, Casa Cipriani.
An eyewitness told Page Six at the time that the two “sit side by side on a banquette in the hall”, where they “hug and kiss”.
While many Swifties aren’t thrilled with Swift’s relationship with the controversial rocker, the Grammy-winning singer says she’s happier than ever.
“I want to tell you, I don’t know, I’ve never been happier in my life, in every aspect of my life,” the “Red” singer told those who went to the concert last week.
“And I want to thank you for being a part of it. Not just the tour. I finally feel like my life has meaning.
Although Healy wasn’t there that night, she was spotted sneaking into Swift’s New York City apartment a few days ago.
Still, it looks like it’s not just her fans who are upset about the new love.
According to the Daily Mail, Swift’s ex-boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, feels “despised” and “sad” over her “budding love affair” with Healy.
A source told the outlet that Alwyn, who left Swift in February, “trusted” Swift when she said that she and Healy were just “friends” while collaborating on the album “Midnights.”
“He told her that they were friends and that he trusted her,” the source said, emphasizing that there was no “conflict” in the two relationships.
But many fans speculate that Swift revealed the real reason for her split from Alwyn in her new “Midnights” vault piece “You’re Losing Me.”
In the song, the “Lavender Haze” singer apparently suggests that the British actor does not want to marry her.
On the song’s mighty bridge, Swift said, “I wouldn’t marry me either. Pathological human taste. Just who asked you to see him?
Elsewhere in the song, “Do I throw away or hide everything we make?” she wonders. before confessing, “I’m tired even for a phoenix. It always rises from the ashes.”
“Stop, you’re losing me,” he adds several times in chorus, “My heart won’t beat for you anymore.”
