Matty Healy was spotted in the VIP tent at Taylor Swift’s concert in Nashville on Friday night, amid rumors that the couple was dating.
The 1975 frontman wore a flannel shirt over a black tee as he watched the “Anti-Hero” singer perform in front of a sold-out crowd at Nissan Stadium during his Eras Tour.
Sources had previously told the Sun that Healy was planning to attend Swift’s Nashville show and when the outlet reported that the two were an item.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been on tour for the past few weeks so there’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting, but can’t wait to see him again,” the Sun’s source said.
The “Somebody Else” singer flew in to attend Friday’s show from the Philippines, where she was performing two gigs with her bandmates.
Healy added to the speculation rising Thursday when his band included the song “She’s American,” which seemed like a subtle nod to budding romance.
The source revealed that the couple “wanted to ‘own’ this love and did not want to hide it”.
Rumors of the couple’s romantic relationship began circulating on Wednesday, and an insider said the two were “insanely in love” despite dating less than two months ago.
Healy, 34, and Swift, 33, have been linked for nearly a decade, first in 2014 and again in 2016, when the British rocker once called the idea of being the superstar’s boyfriend “castrated”.
“They first came out very briefly, almost 10 years ago, but the timings just didn’t work,” the Sun’s source said.
For more Bottoms of the Page you love…
Rumor has it that the love comes less than a month after Page Six confirmed that Swift and Joe Alwyn broke up after six years of dating.
Sources told us there was no animosity between exes.
Months before the new couple bonded, Healy announced that she would stop doing that infamous fan-kissing act out of respect for the “queen” Swift.
Swifty fans are torn apart by murmurs of the couple’s dubious relationship – even in a dramatic joke, they would block Swift on Spotify if the rumors were confirmed to be true.
Neither Swift nor Healy openly denied the dating rumors.
During the Friday show, Swift announced her third studio album, “Speak Now,” as her next re-recorded album to be released in July.
