He’s back!
Lana Del Rey performed her first live stage show in over three years at MITA Festival 2023 in Rio De Janeiro this weekend.
The 37-year-old “Summertime Sadness” singer channeled Marilyn Monroe while wearing a yellow wig, performing songs from her latest album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.”
The Brazilian festival marks the first full concert since November 2019 for the singer, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant.
Del Rey has only appeared on late-night talk shows over the past few years, performing once with the Bleachers at the High Water Festival in South Carolina earlier this year.
Last March, the Grammy nominee received the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Visionary Award for her outstanding career.
“I don’t exactly have a long-term vision, but if you’re wondering, I’m very, very happy,” Del Rey said in her speech.
“When I released my first album 14 years ago, the waters weren’t that warm. I’m really happy for everyone who feels it’s a great time in culture to be themselves and express themselves. It didn’t feel that way in 2008.”
In 2006, Del Rey released her first album, “Sirens”. However, it was the 2014 release of “Born To Die” that made him a cult icon.
Last year, the singer urged fans not to listen to the leaked music after some of her valuables were stolen in a snatch in California.
The New Yorker told fans in a now-deleted Instagram Live video that the thieves took the backpack containing the computer, multiple hard drives and a camera.
“A few months ago, I parked my car on Melrose Place – actually Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles – and drove away for a minute,” she said in a now-deleted Instagram Live video on Wednesday.
“Please don’t listen if you hear the music, because it’s not coming out yet,” he said.

“Of course I’m not going to leave anything in the car again, even for a moment. But we’ve had the same issues at home, and that’s a constant thing. And while I’m so grateful to be able to share all the good stuff, I want to share that it’s a challenge as well.”
Despite being out of the limelight lately, the “Video Games” singer is busy in her private life.
She is reportedly engaged to Evan Winiker, managing partner of Range Media, who is interested in talents like Disco Biscuits, MAX and Daya.
Engagement rumors first flared up when Del Rey was seen wearing a giant diamond sparkler at a Billboard event.
The 40-year-old himself comes from a musical background and was previously in a band called Steel Train with songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff.
