On Thursday, 20th Century Studios released the first teaser for the third film in the series, following 2017’s release. War for the Planet of the Apes.
“When I sleep, I see strange things,” a voice says at the beginning of the trailer, leading to a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest.
“Memories?” another voice said. he asks, to which the previous character replies: “Not memories. New things. I see everything.”
Then an eagle flies onto the monkey’s arm, then another character laughs and says, “That’s not everything.”
According to a press release from 20th Century Studios, the film follows “the next few generations following Caesar’s reign, where apes are the dominant species living in harmony and humans are reduced to living in the shadows.”

“As a tyrannical new ape leader builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a harrowing journey that will cause him to question everything he knows about the past and make choices that will define the future for apes and humans alike.” 20th Century Studios adds.
The new film will see Caesar’s son Cornelius inherit his father’s legacy by promoting the values of peace while aiming to stop the apes from torturing other primates.
