Kevin Costner’s wife Christine Baumgartner has filed for divorce.
According to TMZ, the designer filed to end their 18-year marriage on Monday over “irreconcilable differences.”
Baumgartner, 49, sought joint custody of her three children, Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12, in her file.
However, she did not seek spousal support as TMZ reported that she had a prenuptial agreement in effect.
A representative of the 68-year-old “Bodyguard” actor said, “It is with great regret that circumstances beyond his control have emerged that have forced Mr.
“We ask that his privacy, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as we go through this difficult time.”
Costner responded to the petition of his estranged wife on Tuesday by asking for joint custody of the children.
Page Six reached out to Costner’s representative but did not receive an immediate response.
Baumgartner and the “Yellowstone” star began dating in 1999, shortly after Costner broke up with Bridget Rooney, with whom he shared 27-year-old son Liam.
After a brief separation in 2003, the handbag designer and Costner reunited the following year and tied the knot in Aspen, Colo.
They gave birth to their eldest son, Cayden, in May 2007, and their second son, Hayes, in February 2009.
The following year, the couple welcomed their daughter, Grace.

The “Hidden Figures” star was previously married to Cindy Costner, but they broke up in 2004.
They also share three children together: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
The departure comes after The Post reported that the show “Yellowstone”, the show that “revived” his career and earned him a Golden Globe for his role as John Dutton, was canceled after five seasons due to a conflict with Costner creator Taylor Sheridan.
“It’s the same as any entertainer and big star — there’s respect but there’s friction,” a well-located production source told The Post.
Still, the production source said, “We hope this works out. It’s a show of things too big to be worked out.
“I hope Kevin returns for the remaining episodes if everyone works together, but it looks like ‘Yellowstone’ will end after this season.”
