Kevin Costner’s former tenant, Daniel Starr, claims the “Yellowstone” graduate has “absolutely” “no relationship” with his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner.
When asked about the nature of his relationship with the two on Wednesday, Starr told TMZ he’s “just a guy who pays.” [his] rent” and tries to “be friendly to everyone”.
“I just had a tenant-landlord relationship. [with them]nothing else.
“There was nothing there,” the real estate developer continued. “They have children and they’re getting divorced.”
Starr continued to share her good wishes for exes amid their breakup.
“I just hope it ends peacefully for them,” he told The Outlet. “I hope her divorce is resolved and her children are minimally affected.”
Costner, 68, and Baumgartner, 49, have been married since 2004, when the bag designer filed for divorce from the actor in May.
The ex-couple shares three children, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, and went through a contentious separation.

Not only did Baumgartner make headlines this month for allegedly refusing to move from their Santa Barbara, California home and demanding $248,000 a month in child support, but a report emerged Monday about her friendship with Starr.
“He became close friends with Chris and Kevin after they moved,” a source told The Sun. “They used to hang out with their kids. But Kevin was always away for the shoot, so Chris must have been alone.”
An insider claimed that Baumgartner hung out with Starr “almost every day”, which led to Costner’s confrontation with the tech titan after a fallout.
The situation reportedly “escalated from there”, as Starr’s lease ended prematurely following a legal dispute with the Oscar-winning actor.
Costner’s representative has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
