Kevin Costner’s private financial information for 2022 exploded on the internet thanks to his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner.
The apparently 49-year-old former has detailed in a new court filing obtained by Daily Mail Friday, detailing how much he earned and spent last year to protest how much the “Yellowstone” star would receive as spousal support.
According to the documents, Costner, 68, earned a total of $1,517,064.32 excluding taxes due to his income from TV and film projects, rents and social security.
But the “Bodyguard” star and his family spent $11,921,543.89 last year, bringing the longtime actor’s net income in 2022 to just over $7.5 million.
The bulk of Costner’s lavish spending went to his three homes, including a property in Santa Barbara, California, recorded as “Padaro Lane” on the record, a home in Aspen, Colo, and a third, “The Beach House.”
Each property required a long list of expenses, possibly due to their maintenance.
The $145 million home in Carpinteria, California, in Santa Barbara County, which Baumgartner reportedly refused to separate amid the ex-couple’s contentious divorce, required more than $70,000 in gardener fees, more than $20,000 in repairs and maintenance, and nearly $200. 00 on property taxes, among other costs.
The handbag designer previously argued that Costner had “no legal basis” to fire her from her West Coast mansion and took advantage of her children, stating that “they’ve been around for their entire lives,” according to multiple reports.
However, Costner has two other homes that cost him quite a bit.

In 2022, the total cost of his home in Aspen, Colo. was about $2 million, with $91,999 for the farm manager, $170,533 for other employees, $34,732 for gardener wages, $21,807 for spa services, nearly $20,000 for cleaning services and more.
“The Beach House” was the cheapest, costing Costner $1,178,147 in 2022.
The oceanfront property required a hefty $424,000 total garden fee, approximately $12,000 in private security, over $200,000 in repairs and other expenses.
Costner also joined two beach clubs that required him to make lump sums of $160,821 and $288,381 respectively. He also paid more than $78,000 for his children’s education, $34,434 for golf, $12,000 for hunting, and $12,851 for a personal trainer.
However, the movie star did not use all of his annual income for himself.
Court documents also showed Costner paid more than $36,000 in charitable contributions, more than $830,000 in gifts, and spent thousands of credit card fees for each of his family members, including Baumgartner.
However, the mother of three children is not satisfied with her financial situation, which has risen after the divorce from the “Let It Go” star.
Baumgartner claimed in new court documents that Costner tried to deposit $1 million into his bank account to “force” him to accept the “limited” spousal support terms in his prenuptial agreements.
“I cannot make this concession, I refuse to pay, and I have instructed our financial accountant, Francis Shelley, to return the funds to Kevin,” he added.
Costner’s lawyers did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on the filing. However, the “Draft Day” star has openly opposed the announcement of her financial background.
He had previously told the judge that he wanted to keep his bank records confidential for fears that “irreparable harm” would be done to him by scammers, thieves and “unintended and shameful global media attention”.
Baumgartner apparently ignored this request and at the same time constantly tried to put a financial burden on his ex, despite being the one to file for divorce in May.
The designer allegedly charged Costner $95,000 “without notice” to lawyers and a forensic accountant after Costner requested to leave. He’s also asking $250,000 a month for child support.
The couple, married for 18 years, have three children: Cayden Wyatt (16), Hayes Logan (14) and Grace Avery (13).
