Kate Beckinsale says she saved Keanu Reeves from a major wardrobe malfunction at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival.
The actress remembered the pivotal moment on her Instagram Tuesday after attending and “remembering” this year’s party. [her] First time on these steps with Dr Martens with the worn steel nose 30 years ago.”
“So my mom found one of the original Cannes photos, but unfortunately it’s not full length so you can’t see Dr Martens,” he told his followers before moving on to the story behind the footage of the then 19-year-old Beckinsale walking. Reeves red carpet with “Much Ado About Nothing,” starring Robert Sean Leonard and Denzel Washington.
“I got the body from the Sock Shop at the airport,” he explained, “and when I got in the car to go to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the snaps on the crotch came off on their own and turned upside down like a roller blind.”
Beckinsale, 49, “thought it was inappropriate to be around. [her] undercarriage to reassemble his body”, so he “quietly panicked.”
After getting out of the vehicle and stepping on the “world’s largest red carpet” [her] Pearl Harbor stars Keanu and Robert Sean whispered to Leonard what had happened.
“In this picture I’m holding the front gusset down and two are holding the rear gusset,” she shared, referring to a piece of reinforced fabric sewn into a garment.
Beckinsale went on to call players “absolute legends who may not have fully understood the physics of things, or even heard the word ‘bracket’ before.”
“But they both stepped in to save me, no questions asked x.”
Beckinsale attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival last week, and her strikingly youthful appearance has many wondering if she “got a facelift because it’s impossible to be this gorgeous at 50” ❤️❤️❤️.
“No threads, no thread lifts, no Botox, no lasers, no rhinoplasty, no fillers,” the “Serendipity” actress replied to a questioning social media user.
“I have facials with prp to increase collagen and microcurrent for skin tightening and oxygen,” she explained. “I would probably try the laser but I’m a little scared. Not so far.”
A few doubted Beckinsale’s denial and one said, “Lol, why do Celebrities have to refuse facial procedures? Just don’t lie about it.. she still looks great!”
He smashed the theory once again and scolded the critic.
