More like “Space Pirates”.
Johnny Depp shared how proud he was of his rotting teeth nearly three decades before he was trolled for his “rotten” teeth.
“I have a lot of bruises,” he boasted in a 1995 interview with Premiere magazine. “I had an unfinished root canal treatment eight years ago. Like a rotten little tree stump.”
The then-31-year-old actor claimed he “liked” her flawed smile.
“It’s like when Indians make something with beads, they always put flaws on it,” he said, adding, “I’m proud of that.”
Depp also scolded the pearly white ones and said how much he would hate to have gorgeous teeth.
“When I see people with perfect teeth, it moves me over the wall,” he said. “I’d rather swallow a tick than have it!”
But the magazine claimed that the “Nightmare on Elm Street” star’s breath remained odorless despite its affinity for chain smoking and sipping merlot.
The interview resurfaced after Depp’s teeth were shattered by online trolls while attending the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.
“Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally rotting,” tweeted one on Wednesday, looking closely at the star’s mouth.
“This should be considered bacterial biological warfare,” nudged a second person.
“A petition to start a petition to get Johnny new teeth?!” The official Twitter tweet for InstaSmile.
“This is absolutely disgusting. 🤢,” another hater wrote.
As Depp’s teeth took over the Twitter world, he bragged about his performance in his new movie “Jeanne du Barry,” which made its Hollywood premiere at the luxury film festival.
Page Six reports that Depp, now 59, received a seven-minute standing ovation for his role in the French biographical drama.

Others, however, were less than enthusiastic about the “Scissor Hands” star’s inclusion in the festival following a controversial defamation lawsuit with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp won the highly publicized lawsuit filed against 37-year-old Heard in June 2022 after accusing him of harassment.
While the televised lawsuit split Hollywood in two, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star said she didn’t feel like she was blacklisted.
“Do I feel like I’ve been boycotted now? No, not at all,” he told reporters on Tuesday. “But I don’t feel boycotted for not thinking about Hollywood. I don’t need Hollywood much.”
Meanwhile, Heard reportedly “quit” acting and moved to Spain.
