Jimmie Allen and Alexis Gale are leaving and waiting.
The country singer and his wife announced on Instagram on Friday that they have ended their two-year marriage, even though Gale is pregnant with their third child.
“After much thought and reflection over the last few months, Lex and I have made the decision to break up,” Allen wrote.
“As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together this year.”
The “Freedom Was a Highway” singer says the estranged couple’s “number one priority is to [their] The children are healthy, happy and loved.”
They currently share daughters Naomi, 3, and Zara, 1, and son, Aadyn, 8, from a previous relationship with Allen.
The 37-year-old “Dancing with the Stars” graduate shared that she and 27-year-old Gale are “committed to co-parenting with love and respect for each other.”
He ended his post by “respectfully” asking for “privacy during this time” in light of the couple’s “growing family” news.

Gale shared a similar statement on her Instagram account.
Allen and the nurse secretly married in a private ceremony in June 2020 and held a larger wedding in Pennsylvania in May 2021.
The “Down Home” singer admitted that he “never wanted to get married” until he met Gale in August 2021 – while he was pregnant with his wife, Zara.
“I wanted to be a dad and make music, that’s all,” he told People at the time. “The big thing wasn’t something I wanted to do. But Alexis changed that. Now, I like it. It gives me some security.”
Allen said at the time, “It can’t be like ‘I’m done. Divorce is a lot of paperwork!”
It has not yet been seen whether these documents are prepared now or not.
