Jessie J shared some loving words for her partner and father of her young son in a new Instagram Story.
“I struggle to keep things secret,” the 35-year-old “Price Tag” singer said in tribute to her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, and a photo of the basketball player with her at the birth of their son faded into the background.
“If you know me, you know that,” she wrote in her Saturday post. “I want to protect the people I love and keep that to myself.”
He continued, “And then I often f— because life is short and I think I don’t want to regret it. Once you open the door, you can’t close it.”
The singer, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, went on to reveal that she met Colman, 39, just weeks after she had a miscarriage in 2021. “Like a beam of light,” she said in her post, the basketball being played “lit up my dark days.”
“It was a whirlwind love and it was a miracle that we got pregnant naturally,” Jesssie J said of their romance, adding that “gratitude doesn’t cut it.”
The “Domino” singer also shared that her child’s father “gave me many of the best gifts of my life” and was hand in hand at the birth of his son.
“I wouldn’t have been able to handle it without him,” she added.
The singer kept gushing about Colman, calling him “the calm of my madness”, “the peace of my fear” and finally “My baby’s daddy” before thanking him once again.

The “Bang Bang” singer gave birth to her son last month.
“My whole life changed a week ago,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on May 19. “My son came into this world and my heart has doubled. This feeling is indescribable. I am flying out of love.”
The singer shared that she was born with an unplanned cesarean section on Thursday, a few weeks after the birth of her son.
“I spent 9 months preparing for a natural birth,” Jessie J wrote on Instagram, detailing how she followed a strict diet and exercise regimen in hopes of delivering her first baby “ideally in a drug-free pool birth.”
“I had a scan a few days out of 40 weeks and it was completely on the wrong track and stuck because it was a little chunkier and taller than your average,” the post said. turn it for 2 months but she said ‘No mom, I want to enter from the roof, not the front door’. ”
