On Sunday, the 42-year-old mother of three shared photos of her 4-year-old daughter, Birdie Mae, sitting barefoot by a creek, enjoying some free time, snacking and painting.
She dropped the note “She’s a sweetheart who loves the stream” on filming.
Birdie dressed in a pink tee and denim shorts, smiling in a blue backpack and braided hair looking ready for some summer fun outdoors. He could be seen painting elements on a page that read “Earth Day hiking” in another photo.

Simpson is also the mother of 9-year-old son Ace Knute and daughter Maxwell Drew, who turned 11 last month.
On Mayh, the singer thanked her eldest child for using her 11th birthday wish for a selfless cause. Simpson shared on Instagram how he wished Maxwell’s grandfather’s bone cancer treatments had worked.
Simpson’s 65-year-old father, Joe, was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in September 2016. He was declared cancer-free in May 2017.
Along with a cheerful photo of Maxwell holding his mother, Jessica began with the caption, “On May 1, 2012, my first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson, came into this life as a sentient being who did not seem to be of this world.”
Simpson said, “Maxwell’s birthday wish was that Papa Joe’s treatment for bone cancer worked. It worked. Thank you, Maxi Drew, for using your wish on our family and most importantly my father.”
Simpson’s three children have also made frequent appearances on his Instagram feed, including snaps from a recent outdoor adventure in April 2023. In one photograph, a mother of three and Maxwell stood in front of piles of hay bales, while in another three children were seen as siblings posing together on the beach.
“HEART and EARTH… the same letters. Just saying 🤍🌎🌍🌏,” Simpson explained to the post.
