Jesse Tyler Ferguson is happy with his family of four.
During an appearance on Wednesday’s episode Jennifer Hudson Show, modern family The 47-year-old actor and Tony winner talked about fatherhood and whether he wants to expand his family.
Ferguson and her husband Justin Mikita are the fathers of Beckett Mercer, 2, and Sullivan “Sully” Louis, 6, 6 months old.
Host Jennifer Hudson asked Ferguson, “Can you have more?” ‘ she answered firmly, ‘No’.
On the syndicated talk show, he revealed that he and Mikita, a Tony Award-winning producer, are busy raising two children. Ferguson said that right now their only focus is on children.
“We are busy,” he said. “Beckett is potty training right now… but it’s going well! He’s very interesting, has a lot of interests, and he’s funny.”
“And [Sully] like, you know, babies are blobs and they don’t do much, and so I guess we’re all kind of like waiting… like, ‘TikTok is ready to have fun with you,'” he joked. “’As always when you’re ready to stand up and join the party.’ But it was fun. It was great.”

“It’s really nice to settle in and see the daily changes,” Ferguson told PEOPLE. “I forgot how quickly babies change. Something completely new happens every day.”
The Tony Award winner, who gave birth to son Beckett by surrogate in 2020 and Sully in 2022, noted that raising her two sons is a different experience.
“We were holding hands the whole time, looking at him somehow because we were all stuck together. Now, because Beckett is so active and the world is kind of back in the way, I’m working and Justin is working and we’ve had our father-in-laws and parents help us when everyone else had to stay away before. they use it more,” he explained.

While the screen and stage star is “completely different,” “I enjoy doing it more this way,” she said.
“I absolutely enjoyed spending one-on-one time with Beckett, but I find it very helpful to do it with a family and in a place where you can go out and enjoy the world,” he added.
