Jane Fonda threw an award on Justine Triet’s back at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
When the director won the Palme d’Or for “Fall Anatomy” on Saturday and accidentally left the scroll on the podium, Fonda tried to mark him.
When Triet didn’t hear the 85-year-old actress’ calls, Fonda took matters into her own hands and threw the certificate over the winner’s back.
Although the parchment slammed into the back of Triet’s head, he didn’t seem to notice it as the parchment hit the ground behind him.
Twitter users praised this move of the “Barbarella” star, calling her “queen” with a “perfect shot”.
Fonda stunned with a sequined black dress, a chain necklace, and matching earrings at the annual awards ceremony.
From posing with Eva Longoria to meeting Kate Winslet for the first time, the Oscar-winning actress documents the Cannes weekend via Instagram.
The event took place nearly a year after Fonda shared her cancer diagnosis.

“I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma,” the Emmy-winning actress wrote on Instagram in September 2022. “This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.”
By December of the same year, Fonda was in remission after undergoing chemotherapy, which she called “the best birthday present ever.”
“You have to be able to have sex,” Fonda said at an event in February, and has maintained her health with consistent exercise ever since.
The Golden Globe-winning actor joked that he “don’t remember much” about it at the time, while revealing details about his sex life to Andy Cohen in July 2022.
He told “Andy Cohen Live” listeners that his sex life got better with age, but admitted that he would currently describe his relationship as “private” and “alone.”
