John Boyega takes on Jamie Foxx for the first time since the mysterious “medical complication” of the “Ray” star.
“He finally picked up the phone. The “Star Wars” actor said to People on Tuesday at the Hollywood premiere of he and Foxx’s new movie, “They Cloned Tyrone,” thank you, bro.
“It’s going well. And then, you know, we [are] Boyega, 31, shared.
“I sent him my best wishes directly. I conveyed all my best wishes to him. So I’ll wait until he gets here. Take your time, Jamie. We love you bro.”
Datari Turner, who co-produced the film with Foxx, also informed the magazine that his friend is recovering and expects to return to the camera soon.
“It’s going great. I promise you. It’s going really well,” Turner shared.
“[Our director] juel [Taylor] I spoke to him yesterday. John Boyega spoke to him yesterday. He’s in really good shape and in good spirits. And it will return to the screen. He will be back to work very soon.”
Corinne Fox, the daughter of the “Django Unchained” star, announced in April that her father was hospitalized mid-production on the upcoming movie “Back in Action.”
After retiring for the Netflix project, her co-star Cameron Diaz has continued to shoot body stunt scenes for Jamie ever since.

A source told People Tuesday that Diaz “wanted to support and help in any way” after her co-star’s health crisis, although her “family has kept her situation very quiet”.
Neither Jamie, 55, nor his team has confirmed what caused his medical problem, but his representative has disproved a conspiracy theory that the COVID-19 vaccine gave him blood clots.
However, the Oscar-winning actress spoke publicly via Instagram in May to thank her fans for “all their love”, adding that she felt “blessed”.
Corinne, 29, announced later that month that her father had been “leaving the hospital for weeks”. She reportedly went to a physical rehab center afterward.
