They don’t talk anymore.
Hannah Berner shared that less than a month before she married Des Bishop, Charlie Puth texted her on Instagram.
“The man who DMed me before my bachelor party was Charlie Puth,” said the “Summer House” graduate, who had previously made fun of a singer but kept his identity secret.
“She wrote ‘I like you’ on “Giggly Squad,” along with co-host and best friend Paige DeSorbo on Tuesday’s episode of Berner’s podcast.
Berner, 31, said he was “sitting on the couch” when Puth, also 31, texted him the day before he set off for his bachelor party in Miami last April.
He immediately contacted DeSorbo, 30, and joked that his first instinct was, “I’m in for whatever you crave.”
“It looks good,” Berner said. “Not my traditional type… but I took it as a compliment from an artist meeting another artist. I think he was saying he liked my work.”
The comedian added that he “never opened” the message, so he did not show that he had seen the message.
“But I want to say it in front of everyone – Charlie thank you, but I’m a taken woman,” she said.
Berner and DeSorbo explained that the “funniest” part of the message was that both mothers were “obsessed” with the “Attention” singer.
DeSorbo said, “My mom saw him in an interview and said, ‘He looks so cute!’ said, “he said.
Berner jokingly added, “Even though I’m not available, both of our mothers want to fuck you.”

Neither Berner nor Puth follow each other on Instagram, but former Bravolebrity said some of their listeners somehow figured this out months ago.
The DM doesn’t seem to have caused any friction in Berner’s relationship with Bishop, as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 13 and flew to France together earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Puth has not publicly dated anyone since breaking up with model and pop star friend Charlotte Lawrence in 2019.
“I never told people what happened to me and the pain I went through when I was going through the worst breakup of my life in 2019,” he said in a TikTok video last March, referring to his song “That’s Hilarious.”
Puth’s representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
