Francia Raisa’s father says his daughter confronted Selena Gomez for not quitting drinking after donating her kidney to the “Adult” alum singer.
When asked why Raísa wasn’t featured in Gomez’s new documentary “My Mind & Me,” Renán Almendárez Coello confirmed long-standing rumors that the girls were at odds.
“Love, money and fame are changing the world, including Selena,” she said on “Primary Impacto” last November.
The host later questioned whether the fallout was “provoked” by Gomez’s drinking.
“There’s a difference when Selena drinks,” Coello replied. “Francia said you didn’t give Selena the kidney so she could go out and drink.”
Coello, 69, warned the “Only Murders in Building” actress: “Be careful. Be really careful.”
Page Six reached out to Gomez’s representative for comment.
Raisa donated one of her kidneys to Gomez, who has lupus, in 2017.
The 30-year-old “Wizards of Waverly” graduate documented the medical procedure and shared footage of himself and the 34-year-old “How I Met Your Father” actress holding hands from their respective hospital beds.
“There are no words to describe how I can thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa,” Gomez wrote on Instagram at the time. “He gave me the greatest gift and sacrifice by donating his kidney to me.
“I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much, sister.”
However, rumors of women’s feud surfaced last year after Gomez called Taylor Swift “his only friend in the industry.”

“I never fit into a cool girl group that was famous. My only friend in the industry is really Taylor [Swift]so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong,” Gomez told Rolling Stone last November.
Raisa responded to the interview by deleting the word “Interesting” at the bottom of an Instagram post.
In March 2023, the “Another Cinderella Story” actress called Raisa her “best friend” and suggested that the women may have fixed the situation.
He also said in an Apple TV+ “Dear…” interview that he “would never, ever, ever owe anyone more than Francia” because he was a kidney donor.
Meanwhile, Raisa remains silent about their friendship. On April 30, he declined to answer questions from a TMZ paparazzi who asked him why he still didn’t follow Gomez on social media.
The “Life Size 2” star simply told him, “Sunday is so fun… I’m Francia hanging out with my dog.”
But a week later, she told her father that she was being bullied online by her former BFF fans.
“According to me [comment] What probably hurt the most was this: “I hope someone punctures your kidney, you goddamn whore,” she added. “Nobody condone any form of bullying, especially bullying. Selena.”
