Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Sylvester Stallone return for an “adrenaline-filled adventure” in the fourth installment of the series. disposable franchise, nearly a decade after the 2014s Expendables 3.
A synopsis of the film says, “Equipped with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to wield them, the Expendables are the last line of defense on earth, and the team called in when all other options are off the table.”
“But new team members with new styles and tactics will give ‘new blood’ a whole new meaning,” the summary adds.
In the action-packed preview, Lee Christmas (Statham, 55), Gunner Jensen (Lundgren, 65), Toll Road (Couture, 59) and Barney Ross (Stallone, 76) prove they still have what it takes as they fight a battle. New mission alongside fresh faces like Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Megan Fox.
The first scene in the trailer depicts Fox and Statham’s characters taunting “Welcome home sweetie” as Lee walks through the door when they initially seem to be sharing a relatable moment.
After taunting Lee that he wasn’t “invited” to the post, the two fight over a series of classified documents, until Fox’s character seemingly takes the upper hand.
Barney soon knocks on the door to let Lee know that he needs his help with a “situation”, and Lee replies, “I need better friends.”
Expend4bles It is produced by Statham with Kevin King Templeton, Les Weldon, Yariv Lerner, Jeffrey Greenstein and Jonathan Yunger.
Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran and Andy Garcia also join the cast, along with Jackson, 47, and Fox, 37.
First disposable Starring Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film was followed by two sequels, the first released in 2012 and the second in 2014.
In October 2021, Stallone shared a pair of smiling shots on Instagram featuring him and Statham on the set of the upcoming movie.
On the first shot, both men were armed with black tactical gear. In the second, Stallone teased a guitar on a small stage as the duo relaxed in slightly more casual outfits.
“My great friend Jason and I are having a great time working on the new EXPENDABLES!!!” the actress wrote next to the images.
