Elvis Presley’s half-brother believes the late singer died by suicide.
“He planned ahead to take the drugs that killed him,” David Stanley said in “Elvis’ Women,” a new Amazon Prime documentary about the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll (per Irish Mirror).
“Love, hurt, pain, exposure – she couldn’t take it anymore,” said the 85-year-old.
In the series, which premiered in May, Stanley claimed that his half-brother “couldn’t go on” for fear that his supposed relationships with teenage girls would be revealed in a book.
Stanley, a former member of Presley’s “environment”, was reportedly at Graceland when he died of a heart attack in August 1977 from a drug overdose.
The half-brother described it as a “miracle” that the “Can’t Help Falling In Love” singer was “not published”, saying “His taste for 15 or 16 year old girls made me sick” on the show.
Stanley later said, “He got away with things that most people couldn’t, because of his money, wealth, fame and power, charisma and charm. Elvis socks could talk [of] You.”
Page Six reached Presley’s estate for comment.
The documentary, which includes interviews with women who claim to have been followed by Presley at a young age, also examines his relationship with Priscilla Presley.
Elvis married Priscilla in 1967 when the actress was 21 and 32 years old. The following year, they welcomed daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, before breaking up in 1973.

The relationship of the former couple will also be described in Sophia Coppola’s movie “Priscilla”, which will be released in October.
Elvis’ estate set a record, describing the upcoming movie as “terrible” in a statement Thursday.
“It feels like a college movie,” an official told TMZ. “The set designs are terrible, Graceland is not what it seems.”
Priscilla supported the film, writing on Instagram on Thursday, “I’m excited for my book to be interpreted by veteran Sofia Coppola.
“He has an extraordinary vision and I’ve always had a great admiration for his work. I’m sure this movie will take everyone on an emotional journey.”
The 78-year-old businesswoman and her deceased daughter also supported Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” movie starring Austin Butler in June 2022.
“I really didn’t know what to do with myself after seeing it,” Lisa Marie told Entertainment Tonight at the Golden Globes in January, days before she passed away. “It was so incredible, so timely and so original.”
Following the singer’s death, Priscilla and her granddaughter Riley Keough got into a legal fight over Lisa Marie’s will, eventually reaching a million-dollar settlement this month.
“Elvis would be proud,” Priscilla wrote at the time. “My grandson, through his lawyer, worked diligently and tirelessly with my team to resolve any misunderstandings as a family.”
