Drew Barrymore talks more about his relationship with his mother.
On Monday, 48-year-old Barrymore shared a video on Instagram, captioning “ALL TABLES” accusing some news outlets of “bending”.[ing] my words around” after Vulture published an interview in which she spoke candidly about her complicated relationship with her mother, Jaid Barrymore.
“I’ve been vulnerable and trying to understand a very difficult, painful relationship while accepting that it’s hard to do when a parent is alive,” she said. “And for those of us who need to understand this in real time, they can’t ‘wait’ because they can’t wait for the time, not the parent’s death.”
“Never twist my words or say I wished my mother died. I never said that,” Barrymore added. “I never would. In fact, I keep going, ‘I wish I didn’t have to live an existence that I wish for someone.’ Because it’s sickly.”
Inside Vulture Barrymore, whose profile was posted on Monday, has offered to pardon his mother and late father, John Drew Barrymore, both of whom were granted legal emancipation at the age of 14. The source reports that Drew continues to support Jaid financially.
“All their mothers are gone and I don’t have one,” Drew said, referring to his New York City neighbors. “And me, Well, I don’t have that luxury. But I can’t wait. I don’t want to live in a situation where I wish someone would leave sooner than they should in order to grow up.”

“Actually, I want her to be happy, thriving and healthy,” the actress added about her mother. “But even though he’s on this planet, I have to grow up.”
During the interview, Drew revealed that she doesn’t wish for negativity about her mother. “I dared to say that and I didn’t feel well,” he told the exit. “I care. I will never care. I don’t know if I know how to fully protect, seal, not feel, build the wall.
Drew received support from friends and other celebrities in the comments for Monday’s Instagram video, especially from Jennifer Garner, who she told herself. Vulture he feels “really saved” after both women’s high-profile divorces in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
“You’re brave and real and I love you xxx,” 51-year-old Garner wrote in a comment to Drew’s post.
Padma Lakshmi shared in a comment “we all knew what it was [Drew] in another comment on the post it meant “, referring to the quotes in it. Vulture‘s profile.
“Thank you ❤️ for always being vulnerable,” she added.
