Girls trip!
Chrissy Teigen spent some time with her eldest child, 7-year-old Luna, in Joshua Tree over the weekend for her “third annual girls’ trip” and even shared some shots from the getaway on social media.
“We’re spending our third traditional girl’s weekend at Joshua Tree with Miss Luna Tuna Sandwich,” she said in a series of photos and videos shared on Instagram on Saturday.
“I’ve always wanted to come but honestly I’m a bit of a house cat when it comes to life and my nose and body are not very good in dirt and heat! but the weather is perfect (not too hot!!) and people are kind and welcoming and Walmart is exploding, so it’s really the best we’re having a good time”, Tiegen continued.
The first photo in Teigen’s post showed him and Luna sitting on bright pink chairs, posing hand-in-hand with old hairdressing equipment. For the shoot, Luna wore yellow shorts, a flowered tank top and a pink hat, while her mother opted for a red strapless dress and sun hat.
In other photos from their trip, Luna and her mom looked like they were having a lot of fun examining giant rocks, posing with pictures, and enjoying making some macaroni and cheese.

But as Teigen explains in his post, even the best times can come with some mistakes along the way. During the trip, she “quickly dropped” a lasagna that her husband John Legend had made for her, effectively ending her plans to reheat it “on fire like a mountain man.”
“But in return, I have to cook my first meal and eat it out (I know it sounds silly but I’ve never had to cook and eat in the sun, I’m so worried/itchy/fussy, I don’t know!!) and it was really good,” Teigen explained.

“The simplicity of all this was driving me a little crazy and it was very difficult to keep from doing too much and it’s something that needs to be addressed in therapy, but my conclusion is that most isn’t always the best! sometimes the smallest is just good, even great. that was great”, Joshua Tree shared his escape.
Teigen even gave fans a more behind-the-scenes look at their getaway, from an alfresco lunch to a text exchange between him and Legend, 44, on his Instagram Story. In the texts, Legend tells his wife how their son Miles was. , 5, “Just want to listen to all of John Legend’s albums.”
“John is taking another Miles dad trip while I’m on my special Luna weekend,” Teigen wrote in the screenshot. “Someone is taking care of the baby before you even start.”

Teigen and Legend share Luna, Miles, and 5-month-old daughter Esti. Just last month, the family celebrated their son’s fifth birthday. In addition to the photos of the 5-year-old boy, who were newly released in May, Legend wrote, “Look who’s 5 years old today! Happy Birthday to Miles!”
Teigen’s mom, Pepper, tweeted from her trip to Thailand, “Happy birthday Miles, tell mommy to open the kitchen drawer and there’s a red envelope just for you 🎂🎈❤️❤️.” Teigen even made “birthday cupcakes” waiting for the little one in the car with a green-trimmed tiara after school.
