Cher reportedly broke up with her much younger boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards.
A source told TMZ on Monday that the 76-year-old “Believe” singer and 37-year-old rapper ended their relationship “a few weeks ago”, but the reason for the breakup was not disclosed.
The former couple sparked engagement rumors in December 2022 when Cher was seen wearing a massive $250,000 diamond ring.
The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer even said she wished she could show her then-boyfriend’s ring to her late mother, Georgia Holt.
Cher had previously tweeted: “I woke up a minute ago and first thing…B4 Opened My Eyes, I Thought…I Need Moms 2 Runs & Show her my ring…’She Loves Diamonds'”, Cher tweeted earlier.
“Before I realized it.. I Had Some Tears, But I’m sure it’s natural,” he continued. “I bet Mom’s ears were burning Last Nite. We were telling Stories about her, WHAT WOMAN.”

However, TMZ’s source claims that Cher and Edwards were never actually engaged, but the couple decided to “speculate”.
Cher’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The iconic singer did not make a statement about himself on social media, according to rumors.
Cher and Edwards were only together for a few months.
They formed a romantic bond after they were first seen holding hands on a date night in Los Angeles in November 2022.
The two received a lot of backlash at the time due to their nearly 40-year age difference, but Cher defended it steadfastly by tweeting, “You Have Nothing Else To Do?! Let Me Explain… NO I DO NOT [flying] FK WHAT ANYONE THOUGHT.
The “I Got You Babe” singer described how she and her new boyfriend kissed “like teenagers” later that month.
In March, Cher and Edwards made their red carpet debut at the Versace 2023 fall fashion show and kissed for all to see.
It is unclear how long after that the “Mermaids” star and musician broke up.
Edwards previously dated Amber Rose, with whom he shares a 3-year-old son named Slash. Meanwhile, Cher married Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman in 1964 and 1975 respectively.
