Carly Rae Jepsen talks about taking romantic risks in her private life.
“There’s something really cool about being confident enough to put yourself out there,” 37-year-old Jepsen told the BBC before attending the UK’s Glastonbury Festival on Friday.
“If there’s a connection, that would be fine in itself – but even saying you’re interested is a great step forward,” said the “Call Me Maybe” singer, who is an Instagram executive with boyfriend Cole Marsden Greif-Neill. better known Grammy-winning music producer Cole MGN — in November 2022.
“The world needs more of this because, as I’ve written extensively about, a lot of people are very lonely,” Jepsen continued.
“And if we get comfortable with rejection and put ourselves out there and let it fly away and see what happens, then there’s more fun and adventure to be had.”
Canadian pop singer-songwriter makes his debut at Glastonbury. The festival is held in a remote part of England’s Somerset countryside every June and attracts the biggest names in the music world, including this year’s headlines Guns ‘N Roses and Elton John.
Speaking to the BBC about the programme, Jepsen said: “I’m so excited about the Festival. I’ve heard so many iconic, wonderful things,” adding that he was “preparing” for the event by packing all his pants, and that this got some attention. Crowd of over 200,000 people.

Glastonbury isn’t the only festival the “Run Away With Me” singer has played at this year, as Jepsen is also making an appearance at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival on August 3.
Billie Eilish and Karol G will also take the stage as headliners on the first day of the 2023 show, and Jepsen will follow suit. Other players from the four-day event will include Kendrick Lamar, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Odesza, Lana Del Rey, The 1975 and Tomorrow x Together.
Additional acts will include names like Sabrina Carpenter, Suki Waterhouse, Rina Sawayama, Lil Yachty, Diplo, Pusha T and Maggie Rogers.
