Brooke Shields felt “remorseful” after losing her virginity to Dean Cain.
In the documentary “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields”, now airing on Hulu, the actress recalls running “naked” from the room after getting intimate with the “Superman” star nearly 40 years ago.
Shields recalls that Cain was “more comfortable on the sexual part” of their love affair.
“I wanted to jump into personal relationship, love, and commitment,” she explains to viewers. “We had to teach each other to each other.”
While the “Suddenly Susan” star didn’t initially understand her reaction to having sex, she now knows she feels “a kind of regret that I missed and missed the opportunity to understand my personal sexuality.”
“I feel sorry for that girl. She was old enough to really have her own body. And … I just couldn’t get there at that moment.
Before she and Cain’s relationship, Shields was sexualized as a child star.
She played an 11-year-old prostitute in the 1978 film “Pretty Baby” and appeared in nude scenes in “The Blue Lagoon” three years later, and has since said that it “would not be allowed” anymore.
The model was dubbed “the world’s most famous virgin” when she wrote in her “On Your Own” diary in 1985 that she hadn’t done the deed yet – a revelation she later regretted.
“Looking back, it was a bit of a mistake for me to be so open about my virginity because it never left me alone,” she told listeners of the Brooke Shields podcast in November 2022.
In addition to receiving “fan letters from kids” asking for their advice on having sex with their partners, Shields has also been bombarded with “creepy” questions from men.
“Being in the line of fire like this at such a young age, I built a stamina and it made me ready for anything that could be tough in this industry,” he said.

In her new two-part documentary, Shields speaks candidly about the sexualization she faced and the rape she survived in her 20s.
Shields’ daughters – Rowan, 19 and Grier, 16 – were unaware that the documentary would describe challenges they “didn’t know”.
“I got in trouble with them…because they were pissed that I didn’t tell them everything,” the Lipstick Jungle graduate told People earlier this month. “But needless to say, it started other conversations.”
“Pretty Baby” aired on Hulu on Monday.
