Britney Spears and Sam Asghari took off their wedding rings before the pop star flew off on vacation without her husband.
While Asghari stays in Los Angeles, Spears is enjoying some rest and relaxation in Mexico with her longtime friend and manager, Cade Hudson.
The “Toxic” singer’s ring was nowhere to be found when she arrived at LAX airport on Tuesday, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail showing her riding in an SUV with a teddy bear before heading to Cabo.
Meanwhile, Asghari was photographed driving away from a valet on Thursday – again without her wedding ring.
Despite the eyebrow-raising coincidence, a source tells Page Six that the actor took off his ring because he was filming a project.
Spears’ diamond sparkler was also noticeably missing from her Instagram videos, including a video she posted Thursday night swirling in a dazzling blue dress.
Spears and Asghari representatives did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
Just last month, the couple shared photos of them going to Target in matching outfits for a day’s shopping. Presumably, all was well in their marriage at that point.
The next day, Spears, 41, denied a report that she “nearly died” before her family’s failed intervention and added a message of support from Asghari, whom she married in June 2022.
“As my husband says best: don’t believe everything you read!!! All that love has returned to you,” he said.

Asghari, 29, issued a statement confirming that the planned intervention did not take place due to concerns about Spears’ health – although she did not deny that it was an intervention that was being worked on.
“My wife has complete control over her life and will continue to make all decisions regarding her care no matter the circumstances,” she said.
“Speculation about his health is inappropriate and should end immediately.”
Asghari’s statement came after a source said only that the intervention to Page Six never happened because it was deemed “unnecessary”.
“Unfortunately, there’s a lot of hysteria in the media right now, but Britney is fine and much of it has been exaggerated and massively distorted,” said an insider source.
Concerns began to turn for Spears in January when she was seen pissed off after fans breached her privacy and filmed her at a restaurant. After fans later decided to call the police to do a checkup on the “…Baby One More Time” singer, the woman denied she had a “breakdown”.
“It is… no, I am not experiencing a collapse… that is who I am and I am moving forward in my life. I’ve never felt so good!!!”
Spears was at the conservatory from 2008 to 2021. She was previously married to childhood friend Jason Alexander and former dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she shared 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James.
