Beyoncé went from grabbing our edges to helping to regrow them.
The “Cuff It” singer teased Tuesday that she was in the process of creating a haircare startup in honor of her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, who owned a popular hair salon in Houston, Texas in the ’90s.
“How many of you know that my first job was to sweep hair at my mother’s hairdresser?” He wrote on Instagram. “Destiny’s Child started by performing for our clients while they were getting their hair done.”
Beyoncé, 41, wrote that she was “exposed to many different kinds of entrepreneurial women” at her mother’s hairdresser.
“I’ve seen firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly affect our spirits,” the mother-of-three continued. “I watched him heal and serve many women.”
Beyoncé said, “I’ve learned so much on my hair journey that I’ve always dreamed of continuing her legacy, I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve created.”
Alongside her message, she shared a mirror picture of her curling her hair while sitting at the white vanity table—filled with bottles of what looked like homemade label oils and lotions, apparently prototypes of everything Bey could cook—and a picture of her younger self curling the ends of her box braids.

While the “Drunk in Love” singer didn’t reveal details about exactly what he created, fans flocked to the comment section saying they were thrilled with whatever he had in store.
“Does that mean you’re doing a hair care line?! 😍 I’m ready to make money whatever you have planned,” one fan wrote.
“a hair care series!???? Ah, it’s time to prepare my cards!!!” added another.
“Oh my god, he’s going to get into the hair game. Wigs? Packets? Hair product? Another excited supporter commented.
“Hair care products! Oh my gosh, I can’t wait to buy it for my kids,” another user wrote.
The news of Beyoncé’s new venture comes nearly two months after reports surfaced that she and Adidas’ “Break My Soul” singer had mutually agreed to part ways after sales of her Ivy Park clothing line fell 50 percent.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the 32-time Grammy-winning series brought in just $40 million in 2022, compared to $93 million in 2021.
Despite low clothing sales, Beyoncé is currently embarking on her “Renaissance” world tour abroad. He will begin the North American leg of his tour in July.
