King III.
Charles broke tradition with his attire for the event, trading in trousers and silk for a white top shirt and a crimson coronation tunic over his own military trousers – worn under the robes his grandfather King George VI wore at his own coronation in 1937.
Royal supporters speculated that the new monarch would prefer a more modern look, as an insider told The Sun that the traditional dress was seen as “too old”.
During the ceremony, both Charles and Camilla were crowned with meaningful royal pieces as part of the sacred ceremony.
At the time of his coronation, King Charles, the golden Supertunica and the historic St. Before being bestowed with Edward’s Crown she wore a plain white robe Colobium Sindonis; later, after leaving the monastery, he assumed the Imperial State Crown.

Queen Camilla
The newly crowned Queen Camilla wore an ivory gown by Bruce Oldfield, embroidered in silver and gold, depicting the UK’s national flowers. Accessorized with the iconic Coronation Necklace, which boasts a stunning 22.48-carat pendant known as the Lahore Diamond.
She was crowned with the same headdress that Queen Mary wore in 1911, although she added jewels from Queen Elizabeth’s collection to honor her deceased mother-in-law.
Camilla also paid tribute to her husband’s mother by wearing the gown that Elizabeth wore to her coronation 70 years ago.
Kate Middleton
The Princess of Wales went with her favorite fashion house, Alexander McQueen, for the historic day. She wore an ivory silk crepe dress embroidered with silver ingots and thread, featuring motifs of rose, thistle, daffodil and clover, the same symbolic flowers seen on Queen Camilla’s gown.

Prince George
Prince George, 9, the eldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has been honored to serve as one of the King’s Honors. Therefore, he helped carry his grandfather’s robe and wore a red uniform.
Princess Charlotte
The 8-year-old royal twins adorablely with her mother, wearing a miniature version of the same silver headdress and a matching Alexander McQueen cape dress with the same embroidered motifs to represent the four nations.
Prince Louis
Welsh’s youngest child, 5, who couldn’t help yawning during the ceremony, wore an outfit consisting of a blue lace tunic and trousers by Dege and Skinner.
Prince Harry
Prince Harry came to his father’s coronation alone, leaving his wife, Meghan Markle, in California with son Archie, who turned 4 on Saturday, and 1-year-old daughter Lilibet.
Despite leaving to return to his family soon after the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, the Duke of Sussex sat in the third row in a simple suit and military medals, but was forbidden from wearing his full uniform amid the family crackdown.
Jill Biden
As President Joe Biden remains in the United States, the First Lady attended the coronation with her granddaughter Finnegan.
The two women wore the colors of the Ukrainian flag in support of the country currently under attack by Russia.
Dr. Biden wore a blue Ralph Lauren skirt suit and matching gloves, while her granddaughter wore a pale yellow midi dress and matching Markarian cape and a rose-adorned Gigi Burris headband, Washington DC’s official flower.
Princess Beatrice
Prince Andrew’s daughter arrived in a fuchsia Beulah London puff sleeve midi dress with a wide headband.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia
Spain’s fashionable queen looked stunning in a pink Carolina Herrera peplum jacket and mesh cap that matched her skirt.

The singer, who will be performing at her coronation tomorrow night, looked gorgeous in a lilac Vivienne Westwood blazer and dress, a matching headband and opera-length gloves.
